Hybrid Striped Bass

Rangen, Inc. has been in the business of producing aquaculture feeds for over 50 years.  Through the use of competent nutritionists, researchers, a laboratory and hatchery test facilities, ongoing diet development is a way of life.   The diets listed below have been formulated to meet the needs of first feeding fry to harvest size under a variety of rearing conditions.  All diets are fortified with special antioxidants to insure freshness, but feeds should be stored in suitable conditions and fed within 90 days for best results.

STARTER DIET: A dry diet specially formulated for first feeding fry and fingerling.  The first two sizes, manufactured with extrusion technology, are nearly free of dust and fines, which can be detrimental to small fish.  This high protein diet utilizes quality fish and animal products, marine oils, and higher than normal vitamin supplementation that includes stabilized vitamin C.

Extr 450 (Pellets): This diet is an extruded, dry, floating formulation for highly efficient growth.  The extrusion process results in a diet, which is more efficient, has fewer fines, and produces less pond waste while producing better fish growth than conventional pellet diets.  Extra vitamins and stabilized vitamin C are standard.

Extr 400 (Pellets): Similar to the Extr 450 diet, this feed is formulated to meet the dietary requirements in the grow out phase.  A complete ration that will produce efficient growth and less wastes.

Extr 400 SB (Pellets): This is a specialized, extruded diet developed to better meet the specific nutritional requirements of hybrid striped bass (M.chrysops x M.saxatilis) at a lower cost.  Extra  vitamins and stabilized vitamin C are also incorporated in the diet.
