CATFISH 28% & 32%

Description
The Catfish diets are specially formulated diet designed for rearing conditions that are less intensive and where economy is a major factor.  These diets utilize the most economical protein sources available but ones that still provide the proper amino acid balance.  The vitamin and mineral supplementation is the same as in our higher protein catfish diets and more than meets the nutritional requirements of the fish.  These diets can be made to float or sink depending upon the preference of the farmer.

Uses
This diet is intended for Catfish rearing once the fish have reached a size where they adequately ingest a pelleted product.  For fry sized fish, we recommend our Starter diet, followed by our Grower diet through the #4 crumble size of feed. The Catfish 28% diet is intended for pond rearing rather than more intensive raceway raring.  For more intensive raceway rearing, we recommend a higher protein diet.

WARM WATER PRODUCTION DIETS

Description
Warm water production diets have been formulated where economy is a prime factor.  The diets come in protein contents of 30, 32, & 35 percent with the higher protein level geared for more intensive rearing.  These diets maximize more economical protein sources yet still maintain vitamin and mineral supplementation to more than meet the nutritional requirements of the fish regardless of the rearing conditions.  The diets can be made to sink or float depending upon your preference.

Uses
These diets are used for both Tilapia and Catfish rearing after the fish have reached a size where they adequately ingest a pelleted product.  For fry sized fish, we recommend our Tilapia Starter Diet or our regular Starter Diet, followed by the Grower through the #4 or course crumble size of feed.  Because the culture conditions vary considerably from farm to farm, a group of diets with several protein levels are available at the discretion of the farmer.  The protein level chosen should complement the amount of natural food available within the pond to insure the nutritional requirements of the fish are met.
