TROUT PRODUCTION DIET
Description
Trout Production Diet, a standard of the industry, is a conventional pelleted, sinking, dry diet which has been externally sprayed with marine oil to increase both caloric level and palatability. This low cost ration contains all the nutritional requirements needed to effectively produce fish growth in the most economical manner from an average size of about 15 grams per fish to 900 grams or more.
Uses
Although originally formulated for the commercial trout industry, this diet also is efficiently used for rearing fish for State and Federal rearing programs. The lipid level may be lowered on request to provide an excellent ration for hybrid striped bass as well. Pigment (Astaxanthin) is available at 40 mg/kg (1 lb/ton) and 80 mg/kg (2 lb/ton) upon request for flesh coloration.

STARTER DIET
Description
The Starter Diet is a dry diet especially formulated for first-feeding fry and fingerling. The first two sizes, manufactured with extrusion technology, are nearly free of dust and fines which can be detrimental to small fish. This high protein diet utilizes quality fish and animal products, marine oils, and higher than normal vitamin supplementation which includes stabilized vitamin C (L- ascorbyl -2-polyphosphate) Preservatives as well as ingredients which serve as flavor enhancers are standard components.
Uses
This product is used for initial feeding of both trout and salmon. It is also successfully fed to warm water species, aquarium fish, hybrid striped bass, and other species requiring a high protein and lipid starter diet.
