SALMON EXTR 440 AND 470 DIETS
Description
EXTR 440 and EXTR 470 diets are extruded, floating, dry formulations designed for highly efficient growth. The extrusion process results in a diet which is more efficient, has less fines, and produces less pond waste while producing better fish growth than conventional pelleted diets. The protein is composed mainly of a balanced combination of high quality fish and animal products. Extra vitamins and stabilized vitamin C (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate) are also included. Both diets can be made into a slow sinking form upon request. The amount of lipid also can be adjusted as desired.
Uses
These diets are formulated especially for Pacific salmon but have also been fed to Atlantic salmon and several trout species with excellent results. The floatability of the feed is especially adaptable to surface feeding species. These feeds have also been used in net pen rearing where the feed is introduced at the bottom of the pen and allowed to slowly rise giving the fish the opportunity to feed the full depth of the pen. Sinking feeds are also available. Pigment (Astaxanthin) is available at 40 mg/kg (1 lb/ton) and 80 mg/kg (2 lb/ton) upon request for egg coloration.

STARTER DIET
Description
The Starter Diet is a dry diet especially formulated for first-feeding fry and fingerling. The first two sizes, manufactured with extrusion technology, are nearly free of dust and fines which can be detrimental to small fish. This high protein diet utilizes quality fish and animal products, marine oils, and higher than normal vitamin supplementation which includes stabilized vitamin C (L- ascorbyl -2-polyphosphate) Preservatives as well as ingredients which serve as flavor enhancers are standard components.
Uses
This product is used for initial feeding of both trout and salmon. It is also successfully fed to warm water species, aquarium fish, hybrid striped bass, and other species requiring a high protein and lipid starter diet.
